Weather or Not
Apr 27, 2011
Chances are you or your mom or someone you know has this set of Basset furniture. I see them all the time on Craigslist. You can't swing a dead cat around a thrift store without knocking into one. You also can't swing a dead cat around a thrift store, period. You will probably get arrested.
Megan decided to give hers an old-world provincial feel with a paint, stain and glaze technique. I would love someone to come to my house and teach me how to do that. I still haven't figured out how to make things look cool and old instead of dirty and weird. You can see more on her blog Never a Dull Day. Thanks Megan!

Very cool! I love the mix of colors!
Is it weird that I totally pictured you swinging a dead cat around? hmmm...possibly so! love the sofa/bench below!!
Can I just tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog because you make me laugh every day. I have 11 kids living in this house and that kind of laughter probably keeps me from tearing my hair out (or losing my marbles completely and attempting to swing a dead cat around a thrift store). Love the dresser re-do, but I love your quirky sense of humor more! :) Thanks for the daily smiles.
Thanks Lindsey for the feature!! And I agree with Cara completely!! Your sense of humor totally makes this blog. Somehow you make swinging dead cats a topic of conversation that makes people smile! ;)
This looks great. And the dead cat thing was HYSTERICAL. I just love this blog.
So great! Not the old white, but blue with the ancient wood.
I love find this jobs on your blog!

Not a fan of this particular rehab. Reminds me too much of the travesties committed in the 1970s with avocado paint and antiquing solution.
