Stripes, gray and white stripes,
I love you so much,
 I wrote
this haiku for you.

That haiku was lame,
I will try again. oh crap.
out of syllables.

Uh-oh, I smell another impromptu haiku contest!
Best haiku left in the comments will be chosen by a panel of judges (my mom)
and will receive something random in the mail from me!

    cause stripes made me sick.

  8. April 20, 2011 / 4:23 PM

    Rippled, white and gray

  9. April 20, 2011 / 4:34 PM

    An ugly old thing,
    turned beautiful by only
    loving hands and paint.

  10. April 20, 2011 / 5:00 PM

    Horizontal stripes?
No! You can’t make me conform.

    Are you serious?
    I totally want something!
    Please send it to me!

    I’d write a haiku,
but my four kids are screaming.
    You know how it is.

This sounds better if you imagine a gong sound after the second line…

    A dresser speaks of
    white ripples in grey water
    put away your laundry

If only I had the FAINTEST clue how to write a haiku.

OH, but I did rhyme. Does that count for something? Of course it does.

    Cool dresser.

    Dressing up dark wood
Grey and white stripes make it flash
    Dresser’s Gone Wild!

    Thought they were straight
    then I looked harder
    they were starting to wave.

    I googled Haiku
    Now I am educated
    I can’t stop doing it

    So all the day long
I sit and wait for new posts
    Thinking of Haikus

    Now Easter is here
    I wish for pastel redo’s
    Maybe you’ll grant it.

    Kill me now.

    Optic Illusion
Are you really there or not?
    Maybe the floor slants.

  36. April 21, 2011 / 8:53 PM

    Chevrons are awesome
    Even when they are subtle
    They make me happy

    You know something else?
    Better After makes me cry
    With big tears of joy

    Each morning I wake
Make a giant cup of joe
    And check the transformations

    Then I get inspired
And out come the paint supplies
    Hubby gets nervous

    He likes when I’m done
    And admits it is awesome
    I win. Yes. I win.
