Consider yourself lucky if you live in a world where an HOA doesn't control your life. Or at least your yard and your paint color and the height of your grass and how often you have to trim your stupid tree that you'd really just like to chop down, if the HOA would allow it. Which it most certainly will not.
Anyway, Christine had a bit of a boring door. Faded paint, weathered hardware; no one had shown this door any love for a while. When she hung up some new lima bean wreaths (yes, people are doing that with lima beans these days, don't be alarmed!) she noticed that the door looked even more drab in comparison. So she whipped out the chartreuse paint and added a splash of geraniums for even more color. I think it looks amazing! But guess who didn't? Those humbugs at the HOA. Oh well. It was good while it lasted!
