C’mon and Shine

When I hear the words “mudroom” I just conjure up images of … a room of mud. That is because I have an imagination deficiency. I also lack vision, because I would have been pleased as punch with this before mudroom, or “hallway of usefulness” as I have renamed it. Nice wood floors, high baseboards, handy hooks and bins and cabinets, what more do you need?
But, as I’m paraphrasing poorly from a source I can’t remember… true style comes in the final 10%. Anyone can add a bed to a bedroom, a dining table to a dining room, but it’s those extra details that really make a room shine. This shining hallway of usefulness comes from Megan at Honey We’re Home

  4. Love the stripes and that mirror is so cute!!!! I would also love to have a cozy space like that as well. You would probably find me there snuggling with a good book and my cat…..ah to dream =)

  5. I adore what Megan did with her mudroom…and then there is the rest of her house! Can I mention her closet?!? Janell

  6. Oh my gosh it’s so pretty! Yah here in AZ we don’t have such rooms, or need, as we never get snow, hardly ever have rain, etc, but I think it would be great for jackets and backpacks, and also for those (not us) who do not wear shoes inside. She did great work with this. And you’re right, that 10%? I sure don’t got it!

  7. I was thinking the before looked good but WOW! Love the after.

  9. I’m with you…I thought the before was nice. But the after is fabulous.
