The knotty cabinetry and frontier-style light fixture made this kitchen feel country. A little too country. Like, "chuckwagon on the prairie" country. But wait! With the addition of that old Vegas casino carpeting (carpet or linoleum? Can't tell, but tragic either way) you have potential for some memorable themed dinner parties!

From ugly duckling to beautiful swan! We did the same thing several years ago...went from dark, drab kitchen to fresh and white. It makes me feel cheery and happy now!

We had that same linoleum pattern when I was growing up in the 50's.
