I column like I see 'em

"Lindsey," you say, "you've done it again. You've mixed up the pictures somehow. There is absolutely no way this before is related to this after!" 

 "Naysayers," I reply, "I would never deceive you! This before shelf is indeed one and the same as the after shelf!" 

 "No!" you gasp, "it can't possibly be! How could that plain old shelf go from storing copious amounts of garage stuffs to a stunning entryway focal point?"

 Lindy from Cottage Hill says she did it like this: "I secured it to the wall and floor and wrapped it with leftover hardwood flooring. Then I added trim to the front, top, and bottom, and also added doors with glass. I got the column when I laid down in front of my neighbor as he was taking it out to the trash." 

"Wow, that's amazing!" 

 "I KNOW. The only things I ever see my neighbors take to the trash are pizza boxes."
