Mikael's Kitchen

 May 27, 2010

I haven't posted a kitchen redo in a while, don't know why, they are some of my favorites! This kitchen comes from Mikael at Starter Home to Dream Home

Her kitchen was looking a little dated, with the burgundy walls, oaky cabinets and Christmas decorations. I mean seriously, Christmas was like 5 months ago. (I kid!)

I'm just astounded at the results. It never fails to amaze me how big a difference paint can make, although there was a lot more that went into this redo than that. Check out her blog for all the details. Even her knife set got a makeover! Thanks Mikael!

I like the colors she chose! The paint made a huge difference alone!

This is nice! So many things to love, the damask window treatment, the fresh off-white color of the cabinets, the subway pattern of the backsplash and the rectangular dining table... works a lot better in my opinion than the round table in the before picure.

I love these kitchen makeovers! But I look at them and think "how sad is it that the before picture is way cuter than my kitchen?" I need to figure something out to do with mine I guess! LOL

I'm with Crystal! Nonetheless, this is a great makeover. I love the colors and the sleek but simple backsplash.
