Jamie's House

 Jan 20, 2010

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that horrible bush overtaking this cute little home is called a juniper, yes? Oh man, I hate those things. They are the ugliest bush of all time ever. I don't mean to insult you if you have juniper bushes, but if you do, seriously consider replacing them with something else. Anything else. They look like overgrown eyebrows. Or a bushy mustache. Maybe those things were sexy several decades ago, but not today my friends!

Consider taking a chainsaw to your junipers and let your house breathe free! Free from the confines of ugly bush suffocation just like Jamie did here. Ahhh! So much better!

So true, so true. My mom finally got rid of their juniper bushes. It makes SUCH a huge difference.

I've purchased two homes in my life, and the first order of business at each was to dispose of the juniper bushes. (they also attract spiders like nobody else's business.)

So there WAS a window back there! It looks so much better! I hate those bushes, too. In fact, I really hate bushes close to a house period. They did a great job with the landscaping and painting the door and shutters black.

We had juniper bushes in our front yard years ago, I hated them. They HURT to work around. That house is absolutely adorable now! Love it! Great makeover.

My husband calls me Yew-Killer. They are truly ugly. They always overgrow their bounds, but not in a nice way. I would rather have bare foundation.

So much better! I love the little red wagon in the flower bed!

I'm with you on the "no" juniper thing, we have removed several that died in a drought a few years ago, much to my delight!

She did a fabulous job! And may I just say, on the topic of flora we hate? I can't stand mesquite or palo verde trees. THEY'RE NOT TREES! They're bushes! Trees insinutates the presence of leaves. I hate those deserty ugly nasty trees--way too many arizonans use them in their landscaping.

amen.
